Cookie Policy

Diaspora Together Trust and Support Association (DTTASA) | CAC RN 8583605 | Last updated 31 October 2026

1. What this policy covers

Cookies and similar technologies, such as browser storage, are small files and records a website keeps on your device. This policy lists every one dttasa.org uses, why, and how you control them. More on how we use personal data is in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your choice

When you first visit, a notice offers Accept cookies and Reject cookies, side by side and equally easy to choose. Until you choose, and if you reject, nothing that sets a cookie for advertising, measurement or outside content runs. You can change your choice at any time from Cookie settings at the foot of every page. The website works fully if you reject.

3. What we use

  • Your cookie choice (always, strictly necessary). We remember whether you accepted or rejected, in your browser's storage under the name dttasa_cookie_choice, for 6 months, so we do not ask on every page.
  • Live figures (always, needed for the figures you asked to see). Our donation bar and live figures are read from Google Firebase. Firebase keeps a small record in your browser's storage that tells Google its library is in use. It holds no name, email or payment details and is not used for advertising.
  • Google Ads measurement (only if you accept). A Google tag measures whether visitors arrive from our adverts. It sets Google cookies (such as _gcl_au) that can last up to 90 days, and sends Google technical data such as your IP address and browser.
  • YouTube videos (only if you accept, or press Show on a video). Videos are held back until you choose. YouTube may then set its own cookies.
  • Our GoFundMe campaign (only if you accept, or press Show on it). The campaign box is held back until you choose. GoFundMe may then set its own cookies.

We do not use cookies to build a profile of you, and we do not sell any data.

4. Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies and stored data in your browser's settings. If you delete them, we ask for your choice again on your next visit.

5. Changes to this policy

When we add or remove anything on this list, we update this page and the date at the top, and ask for your choice again if the change needs it.
