Delete your data

1. Your right to have your data deleted

You can ask DTTASA to delete the personal data we hold about you, at any time and free of charge. This page explains how, for each of our services. We reply within one month.

2. DTTASA Haven (the app)

• In the app: open Settings, then Close or delete account, then Delete my account. You sign in again to confirm. Your account closes at once and is deleted in full 30 days later; until then, signing in lets you keep it.
• Without the app: if you can no longer sign in, email president@dttasa.org with the subject "Delete my Haven account", from the email address on the account. We confirm it is you before anything is deleted.
• What is deleted: your profile, posts, comments, messages, photos, videos and sign-in. What is kept: records of gifts, which the law requires us to keep for 7 years and which are no longer linked to your account, and anything a safety report needs until it is closed.

3. Haven Kids

A parent or guardian can ask us to delete their child's Haven Kids profile and everything in it. Email president@dttasa.org with the subject "Delete a Haven Kids profile", from the email address on your guardian account, and say which profile. We confirm it is you and delete it within one month, apart from any safeguarding record the law requires us to keep.

4. This website, gifts and contact messages

Email president@dttasa.org with the subject "Delete my data", and tell us what you would like deleted: a message you sent through our contact form, or the details from a gift. We delete contact messages at once. Financial records of gifts must be kept for 7 years by law; we keep only what the law needs and delete the rest.

5. Members, volunteers and staff

If you volunteer or work with DTTASA, your records are in the DTTASA Portal. Ask your Head of Department or email president@dttasa.org. Some records, such as payments and safeguarding records, must be kept for set periods by law; the Portal privacy policy lists them.

6. What we need from you

Only enough to find your data and know it is you: your name and the email address you used with us. We never ask for a password, a card number or an ID document to delete your data. If we cannot delete something, we tell you what it is and why.
